    Ok as of late my battery has been like my girlfriend, only works when it wants to. Smh. So here's the story, I can start my car all day and it's perfect. As soon as it's Brutally cold or even at a random time it won't start and my volt meter says when it's dead it's at 10 volts. When it's running it's at 14 volts. I can't figure out why the battery keeps dying randomly. All I have hooked up is my gauges and my phone charger sometimes I leave in the cigarette lighter port. I had it tested and they said it was dead lol but hear me out, it's been working! But randomly lol. Any suggestions besides the usual buy a battery? Because that's on the list today if I can't find the issue.

    its dead. its got no cca left in it. would be fine in the summer or down south, but in this cold its got no power left.

    A dead battery will work for some time, but it wont reliably hold a charge. It's 14 volts while running because the alternator is running.

    The battery is dead and gone, get a new one or you're going to keep getting stuck. Just listen and do it, I deal with people at work like this all day. I tell them it's dead.. oh but it started earlier today, just the first start in the morning it wouldnt go. "It's dead, it'll work sometimes, especially right after you charge it up, but it wont hold." Nah, I think I'll keep it and see what happens.

    **2 days later**

    It keeps dying and leaving me stuck, I think it's dead.
    "Oh wow, really?"

    if funds are low, ive bought used battery's from junk yards for 10 bucks. they test fine, so why not? cant beat the price, even if it only lasts a year.

    yep sounds like a cell or 2 are dying, beat it with a hammer, if that doesn't work it must be electrical
