Full guage shows full when it's 1/8th tank - car won't start?
Car would not start today, but was fine a week ago. I hooked up my OBD2 bluetooth adapter, and it could not connect to the ECU per the warning in the app. Tested it on the wife's van and it connected just fine.
When I got the adapter a few weeks ago it connected just fine and no codes were reported.
Thinking either faulty ECU or wiring ?
I also read some similar symptoms pointing to a bad ignition switch as well.

check the fuse box, for blown fuse, the cig lighter fuse. or power port, same thing.

Late reply, tied up with work.
All fuses are fine.
Checked car again today, and fuel gauge was normal, OBD2 could scan (no codes found) and car starts fine.
Whatever the problem is, it affects all 3 of these areas at once. I pulled the PCM out and checked for any frayed or chewed wires, but could not find anything.
These are the current symptoms when the no-start condition shows itself:
- Fuel gauge pegged at Full
- No voltage goes to pump during cranking, but primes fine when key is turned on.
- OBD2 port will not connect.
Simply letting the car sit for a week was the only thing 'done' when it was not starting, to working just fine.
Re: Full guage shows full when it's 1/8th tank - car won't start?
Just an update, the car appears to start fine every time the past few months, however it is not driven much at all. I went to start it today, and noticed the fuel gauge pegged at full, and fluctuating slightly (car has 1/2 tank). Also, car would barely move until 2500rpm.
Codes pulled showed the following, so I am guessing it is stuck in 3rd gear.
p0753 1-2 shift solenoid
p0758 2-3 shift solenoid
Think all of these issues (starting\fuel gauge\trans codes) could be traced back to a bad PCM?

Problem Solved = bad PCM.
