So what do I have to do to install them? Just knock out the old ones and pound in the new ones?

Sawzll or something to cut that rubber out of there. There pressed in there pretty good. Now you know why the new ones are 2-peice.

I imagine it would be very hard. That is if you didn't destroy them when you ( or whoever ) was taking them out.

Greased up it shouldn't be too bad to put them in. Not nearly as bad as getting them out, I'm told.

The easiest way to get the stock one out that I have found is to put the assembly in a vise and drive a sharp gasket scraper through the two solid portions of the mount along the aluminum center. I just used a few blows from a dead blow mallet to drive it through the rubber. Once both sides are cut, the aluminum center will pop right out. Then the remaining outer piece of rubber can be easily pryed out of the assembly with a screwdriver.

I cut mine with a razor blade, 2 hours later (and some split blood) the new ones were in.
