On the womans 04, the washer fluid wont spray. Checked the fuses, they are good. Checked the tubing, it seemed to be good. How do I check to see if the pump is working? I cant really hear it when I try to use the fluid.... Also how the heck do you get at the bottom of the washer fluid tank?

Any suggestions on helping me figure this out would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Steve

sound like the windshield washer pump went out. i know on the 97-03 the pump is connecting to the bottom of the washer fluid tank on the passenger side. i'm only speaking for the 97-03 just to let you know, but i'm sure the 04 is similar. to get to the pump you have to turn the wheel on the passenger side all the way to the right (so you can have room to get to the pump or take off the wheel to make it easier. there are screws in the wheel well that's holding the under body plastic piece to the right fender lip. i only take off few screws just enuff to pull open the plastic piece cause the pump is right behind it. disconnect the fluid hose, and wire connector. pull the old pump out and put the new one on. if you have lot of washer fluid in the tank when pulling off the old pump get ready to have a little mess cause the fluid will squirt out. it's no biggie, just be quick when putting the new pump on and you should be fine. i hope you understand my direction i'm not very good at write up.

here's what the washer pump should look like. i think the 04 gp is same as the 97-03 cause my 04 monte carlo use the same one as the 97-03 gp (pic).

Thanks for the great responses guys. Im very very busy with work (plowing) as winter has arrived here and just had her take it to the dealer. It was the pump, and they fixed it free under warranty, otherwise it was just going to have to wait until I had time.

Thanks again for the responses, its greatly appreciated.

a quick check would be to insert a small pin(needle) into the sprayers to check for obstructions
