So in winter time your car uses more fuel because the air is colder and to get the correct AFR more fuel is added vs summer time when temps are warmer.....

So according to my logic if I put a HAI vs the stock air box I should get better gas mileage once the engine warms up the engine bay since I am drawing in warmer air.

I am going to test this and post up my results. I am very bored. I should look for a second job so I can buy a getrag 284 soon so I dont have to do stupid $#!t like this to entertain myself.

Also if anyone has a getrag 284 they are selling PM me.

its adding fuel for the cold air, cold air is denser air, aka more air.

There is also a different blend of fuel in the winter. That causes worse mileage too.

I have a cold air intake for summer and a open intake for winter.
But as for stock box vs open cone for winter mpg I'm pretty sure won't be much difference

I suppose the real mileage killer duing the winter is the winter fuel blend as steathee said.

And the extended warm up period vs warmer weather.
