The keyless locks on my 99 gtp stopped working via the remote. Now, when the drivers side door is closed, they lock and unlock like there's a short somewhere.
Switch In the door possibly?

heres your owners manual. http://www.pontiac.com/content/dam/p...ers-manual.pdf
theres programming that sets the locks to lock and unlock. play with that stuff. check you fob battery too.
now that your back to stock headlights you can make the lights flash when you open and or lock the doors via the key less entry. if they dont now.
So, after I replace the broken actuator, if the remote lock still doesn't work, what should I check next (besides the fuse)?
you can unplug the actuator, then put a test ligt on the plug, work the lock switch, if you cant get the test light to light up that means its not getting power to it.
if it lights up, the actuator is bad for sure.
Well I'll be danged..... I used info I found on this site to access info on this site.http://arrc.ebscohost.com/searches?c...ywords=keyless
And tried a couple of things including Transmitter Resynchronization, and it WORKED.......I still need the actuator though. The one on the passenger side is just floating around in the door.
if its hanging its not hooked up to the lock linkage. see if you can put it back in place.
you may have to look at the driver side, then mirror the pass side to get it right.
I'm going to take it apart in a few.
