About once or twice a week my DIC will show the wrong date. It will always be one day behind. If I shut the car off and turn it back on though it will show the right date. Anyone else have this problem sometimes?

I know that there was some sort of issue with the 04+ models doing this, but what the fix is or what the TSB if any is I dont know. But I know its common enough someone should have an answer for ya.
damn i wish mine wasnt so off and on where i could just set it a day ahead all the time like you do.
ha yea it does make it a little easier. the only thing i use that for now tho is fuel econemy so i dont even notice it anymore.
Found this GM bulletin for you hope it helps...
#04-08-49-001B: Day of the Week and Date Do Not Agree on Drivers Information Center (DIC) on Vehicles Equipped with 6-Disc CD/Radio (Replace Radio) - (May 26, 2004)
This condition is caused by an anomaly in the 6-disc CD/radio software for vehicles built prior to January 6, 2004 and with RPO PCJ -- Premium Sound System
Is that a 'free' new radio, or customer pay if out of warranty?
It's a bulletin not a recall so out of warranty it could be customer pay. It's possible to get your dealer to take care of it. Call them and see. It will depend on a few things like in service date/mileage/good customer...as to what they can do.
hmm thanks for the service bulletin info. I just got a new radio put in about 4 months ago too.
Recalls only pertain to issues of safety. You not knowing the day of the week isn't a safety issue.![]()
If your DIC isn't on the right date then that sounds like a personal problem![]()
