    Hey Guys and Gals,

    So I have had a turn of bad luck. My '02 GT was pretty much totalled after a deer hit at 80mph. I have an '02 SE that I WAS gonna flip to make some cash. Now, I am wondering what would be involved in transplanting all of my mods from my GT to my SE. Any and all help is MUCH appreciated My biggest concern is transplanting the engine

    Wouldn't you just have to swap the wiring harness and the PCM?

    not sure what gears are in the se tranny, you may want to swap it with the engine.

    I was hoping to use the SE tranny. It has less miles on it than the GT and it shifts much better. I didn't even realize they used different ratios for Se's and GT's UGH

    as far as swapping the harness, I have to admit I am a total novice at electrical work on my cars. The most I've done is solder a new MAF sensor pigtail. Does swapping the harness require alot of splicing? If so, can anyone point me to a wiring diagram for reference?

    I'm a novice at electrical too. And I mean just swap the trans and put a shift kit in and a cooler as your doing the swap. I'm getting a cooler it's only like 50 bucks

    nope, it should be as simple as taking your old pcm, and the whole harness from the gp to the se.


    of course you need to remove the se pcm and harness. pretty sure you can pull the engine with the harness all plugged in too.

    I never had it dyno'ed, and I have never taken it to a track. My best run using Aeroforce clock was 0-60 in 6.47 sec. with a quarter mile time of 14.87 @ 95mph. This was using a highway entry ramp as a starting point since I can't find a 1/4 mile stretch of straight AND smooth road around here. LOL

    Before my top swap I had a light engine fire that burnt most of my engine harness on the top. I ordered the correct harness (based on the numbers on the tag on my burnt engine harness) for MORAD and about 2 hours I had my old harness out, new one in. IIRC most of the harnesses are the same, it's the pin locations in the block that plugs into the back of the fuse box on your strut tower that are pined different (don't hold me to that though lol). But if you pull the motor and trans all together, take the PCM and lay it on top of the motor, unhook the battery cables, unplug the engine harness bulk head from the fuse block and the harness will come out with the motor. Easy!!
