Sounding like my issues with MAF sensors. I switched the MAF sensor twice on my car before I replaced the MAF plug. Try replacing the connector if the problem returns. It's a cheap fix if it works.

Does that require soldering? Not a problem if it does just wanting to know in advance. The part is pretty cheap so I'll order it Thursday.

Alright won't be bad. I will do that then if it continues replace the actual sensor. Hopefully this will fix it then I can get the sending unit and finally move on to my downpipe and new exhaust.

So did a quick test. Drove my car to work in back home, then across town and back home. Third stat it had a real hard time and was seeming bogged down as I drove across town again. Unplugged the batter and maf connector for an hour, plugged them back in and started it. Hesitated like it always does after unplugging battery. But idled smooth, better throttle response again, smooth idle, etc. Going to order the connector first thing in the morning.

Good and bad news I guess. It is the sensor. But the connector I got is okay. I soldered it together and had to use electrical tape for now and it is staying together well even with a car wash and driving for 20 miles it is still together perfectly. On a random note, also fixed my car shaking at 48 and 68 mph... the tires were all uneven in pressure. Anyways, I will be ordering the sensor in two weeks.
