    Hey guys,

The instrument cluster on my car recently got damaged so now I gotta replace it but have a couple questions. First question how do you replace it on this model?

Second question will the mileage displayed on the message center be affected by another instrument cluster being installed?

    Thanks for any help.

First: it's a lot of work which includes disabling airbags. Better let someone who knows GP well do the work

Second: the mileage are stored in 3 different places. The displayed DIC should be fine and if it is off, a GM dealer can have it reset to match the mileage in the BCM. Unless the BCM is not original.

I just recently repaired my HUD and during the process required the Instrument cluster to come out so I could get at a screw holding the unit. The link provided by spazzz will definitely point you in right direction.

?... Its obvious you don't know what your talking about.. No offense but the cluster has nothing to do with the air bag system in the car besides the Indicator and the absence of the cluster will not cause the SIR to be inop.

Second.. mileage is stored in the dic not the cluster. changing it will not affect anything. I have NEVER seen mileage in the bcm while viewing data on the Tech2 or while programming a new bcm. it's not in the PCM and there is no reprogramming procedure for the cluster on the 04+ gp... So just curious to as where you came up with your reply.

That link couldn't have made the cluster swap any easier. Had the old one out & new one in around 15 minutes total. Woulda been quicker if I didn't keep missing the plug at the top of the cluster.

    Thanks!
