Hi all, I just bought a 08 GP 2 weeks ago, and over the weekend there was water pouring out of the rear map light. After that my air was on high then we go down to low speed then pick back up to high. My auto start also worked, then the car immediatly shut off. The next day it was fine. Do you think the sunroof is leaking and maybe the water caused the air and auto start problems?

A friend with an '04 had water in their maplights and it was caused by a bad seal on the fin-like Onstar antenna on the roof. Dealer warranty replaced the entire assembly and all has been well last I heard. Not sure if that antenna was carried over to the 08's though, but all I could think of when you mentioned that. From what he told me, the dealer knew immediately over the phone what it was and said it was a common issue they had come across.

My GFs brothers 04 Comp G had the same issue, it was the onstar antenna. A little RTV on both sides of the gasket cured the problem, simple as that.
