The front passenger window on my GT 4-door quit just in time for open-window weather (what a surprise). Luckily it's up. Neither button does anything and it doesn't make any noise, so I assume the motor is bad.

The confusing part is, parts dealers show a different motor for post 2/01 cars. Mine is a 6/01. What's different about it?

It may be a moot point anyway because the motor/regulator assembly has the same part number for all mfg dates, so I assume these fit all cars, and the price is nearly the same online.

So my other question is, is it possible to swap the motor without removing the regulator from the door/window, or is it like other cars I've done where the regulator has to come out of the door to get the motor off of it? If the latter is the case, I might as well buy the whole assembly.

Thanks for any clues before I tear the door apart.
