I know the 01 does, getting ready to change the fuel pump as a preventative measure at 160k miles. Does that 1998 have that same access panel in the trunk that the 2001 does? Not a bad job when you don't have to empty the tank and drop it.

It probably be quicker to go walk outside and lift up the trunk mat and check for the access door.

No trying to be a smartass but figured you'll get a answer faster that way then you will waiting

My daughter has the car away at school. She'll be back home in a couple weeks so I figured I would order the pump and have it ready to go when she's home, it's a quick job with the access panel. If no panel, I can't plan on doing the job while she's home for a weekend. So yeah, if the car was here I wouldn't even bother with a post....but I figure somebody who has a 98 and has replaced a fuel pump might know. Of course I forgot to look last time time she was home
