I had trouble with my 97 GTP stalling and generally running like crap. Engine light came on and Autozone read it for the Crankshaft Position Sensor. After a lengthy battle, I finally had installed a new one and within a week the light came back on. I had Autozone and Advanced both read it again, and it was the same error code. I had it cleared, and less than a week later it has come back.

The car seems to be running fine otherwise, but I would really like to get this corrected.

    Any ideas?

    What's the code?

There are a couple that could be interpreted as a crankshaft code. There's one that asks for a crank learn, another that suggests the sensor is bad. Maybe the wiring to the sensor is bad.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

They didn't give me the code, I'll have it read again tomorrow. Might need a learn, since my gas mileage seems to be worse than usual.
