    might have to look into this mod next a higher final drive besides having to tune your pcm for higher final drive is thee anything else required?

    You could pull the transmission

    Then remove the side cover, valve body/channel plate as a combo, remove input shaft o-ring then you can lift up the chain/gears. and change the gears. The link below shows how to do most of this, and suggests the 4th hub (03 or below should consider doing this automatically)

    think ill pay someone to do that you think any tranny shop will be able to install the final drive if I provide it? what do you think is rough estimate on labor

    I'm sure they could do it, but not sure what they would charge for something like that.

    But you'll have to have it towed home or tuned on the spot to run right. A trans shop wont be able to custom tune the car.

    You are talking about pulling a trans out. That's often $500 plus in labor alone.
