just get aluminum. the salt wont rust it thru for a long time and save money
Alright thanks! But if I get that, Aeroforce Interceptor gauge, colder spark plugs, and colder tstat, would I be good to put in a 3.5" pulley?
no need for a tstat. and you could be good for a 3.5 might not. nothing is set in stone just get it all on except the pulley. go from there if the 3.5 causes too much kr go up to a 3.6
I thought stock was 3.6?
stock is 3.8
Oh alright! And if I get a tune at a shop would that tell me what pulley I can run?
not necessarily.
Ok, so what is the way to tell? Monitoring KR with Aeroforce? I don't wanna drop a 3.5" and chip a piston while I'm trying to tell if its alright or not, you know?
With just a 3in dp, i most deffinitely wouldn't stay on a 3.5 unless you have a great tune. 3.6 in pulley if you're just doing a 3in down pipe. Contact Paul at PRJPerformance, he's really good and can do a tune for you. Or install your headers for like, 200$...He lives East of Indy, Welcome to PRJ.Performance
just get a dp plugs scanguage and a canned tune will surfice for now. see what kind of kr you get then.
Correct. Personally I would just get a mail order tune and save yourself some money instead of a shops tune since your sticking with a basic set up.
and if you get a dp from zzp make sure you selece the prepaid label and send your cat back you will get $50 back
Alright. Can someone please explain benefits of header vs benefits of just downpipe?
the mainfolds are really restrictive same goes for the stock downpipe with the ubend. headers have bigger manifolds. BUT most headers have sealing problems and bad fitment unless you are dropping 700+ on slp or togs
yeah a lot of people hate on them becasue the almighty sd headers only cost 200 bucks but they arent all that great i think. most have problems with the flex pipe and they have exhaust leaks
