    So wrong section but I'm sure a mod will move it.


    Vs cam > rockers

    Had rockers originally. Took them out and sold them and bought a vs cam. Even though its not a huge cam it was still a good improvement over the rockers.

    Cam gives more power throughout the entire power band but is more involved to install and tune. I pulled my motor last winter with plans to install rockers but decided to go with a cam instead. I'm glad I went to a cam now that the project is done but looking back had I just installed rockers I'd have a lot more money in the bank and just a little less get up and go lol

    Cam, but go XP. I was thinking VS decided the XP and would never go back. Oh and reallllly wrong section lol.

    I had modded 1.9's on my 98 and went with a s1x on my comp g. I'm liking the cam a lot more.
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118

    Should change the timing chain and damper springs and retainers

    That is incorrect.

    With the XP cam, you need milled retainers, and you should install shorter valve seals as well. The XP will also require heavier springs.
