    Ok as stated I had my coolant elbows break and had to get it fixed at a random shop but yea ever since when I get on the throttle I actually feel heat rising from the cup holder area.. it's not a problem when I drive normally though! Any idea's? Thanks

    the console sits right over the exhaust pipe, the carpet has almost no foam over the hump, so heat rises from under the car.

    it could be the shiftier cable boot/seal ripped or is missing, letting heat in even more. ( where the cable enters under the car)
