    So my regulator went out. Not sure if I can get away with just replacing the motor or do I need to replace the whole assembly. What can I get away with, anyone know, thanks

    Replace the whole thing
    98 GTP modded 1.9's, sd headers, 3.4", zzp 1.0 230K miles scrapped.
    04 Comp G zzp stb's, UMI ta's, Speedbuilt sways, bully flo heads, XP, zzp headers, fsic, thrasher shift kit, 60#, 2.6" corsa 2.5", Inferno hood
    01 gt z7 turbo tep trans zzp motor
    08 g8 gt cam exhaust 11.87@118

    I have a 2004 Grand Prix N/A, just not worth the headache to just do the motor or does the whole assembly fail?

    the cables wear on the sliders, then break, and the motors quit, its easy enough to just change the whole regulator.

    98 Buick Regal GS, F body brakes, Caddy STS wheels, tinted tails L36 bottom end, lightly ported heads, 1.95 roller rockers, headers, gen 5 N* 3.0 pulley, FSIC, 42 lb injectors, a BrandonHall rebuilt trans, DHP tuned and AEM water/Meth injection https://goo.gl/gpV5kW

    Had mine replaced a while back. You're looking at about a $200 plus fix.

    If you do it yourself it's only about a $30 fix

    Gotta replace my passenger side one,apprently its an $80 part for whole assembly. But im tackling.it myself.
    04 GTP-3.6 pulley, custom tuned, Intake, headers,thrush exhaust, al104 plugs, 180* stat, shift kit, flipped mounts

    depends on where you buy the regulator, one from a dealer would cost more. but should last longer, vs a cheap ebay one.

    My rear passenger side doesn't work at all. I need to do a little more troubleshooting to determine if it is the motor or power getting to it.
