So recently picked up scangauge 2 mainly as a code reader but also for to monitor kr. I noticed that The kr will not read anything never goes past 0 at all at WOT passing, just cruising etc.. It didn't move at all in the 10 minutes i was testing it is this normal to have nk kr whatsoever on an 04 gtp comp g?

i am overkill tuned, 180 t stat, CAI, msd wires, tr55s, catback.

is it possible the input pid was input wrong into the scangauge II possibly? will i have to re enter it to set up for kr maybe also anyone know if the 04 gtp protocol would be vpw or cansf? that could be the problem or maybe dont have any kr at all!

Hitting the oil pan might not be enough, hit the side of the block or smack the crossover pipe with a hammer. A good smack to the cast iron coil bracket has done it for me aswell.

little update on this. eventually saw a max of 12 (1.2 KR) on the gauge but does not read this very often also saw 5 (0.5 KR) on the gauge at one point as well. Both was at wot. I re input the xgauge command for gm vehicles and now i have the decimal point (maybe they updated the code) but i havnèt seen a reading on this new input yet LOL so i will report back again haha

with the new code havn;t been able to get it to read KR it shows 0.0 all the time so far. this is the xgauge codes i'm referring to if anyone has a scangauge 2:

For GM vehicles that use the VPW protocol

GAUGE TXD RXF RXD MTH NAME Notes
Elapsed Time Since Engine Start 6C10F12211A1(01) 0462051106A1 3010 000100010000 ET Seconds

Trans Fluid Temperature (Exc Allison) 6C10F1221940(01) 046205190640 3008 00090005FFD8 TFT Degrees Fahrenheit
Allison Trans Fluid Temperature 6C18F1221940(01) 046205190640 3008 00090005FFD8 TFT Degrees Fahrenheit

could it be becaue the scangauge isn't version 4.xx its 3.15?
maybe i should put in the old code not sure where to go from here

last possibility is its reading correct and i will rarely ever see above 0.0 (which i havn't seen anything above it yet) anyone else rarely see and KR??
