Re: Coolant leak
that looks like a O ring there, maybe you can just change it and pop it back in? looks easier then a freeze plug to get in or out.
clean the freeze hole in the block up, use some high heat rtv or something around the O ring to help it seal up. re install it?

Re: Coolant leak
yeah, a coolant flush and 3 cans of de greaser. your engines pretty damn dirty. looks like the valve cover gaskets need to be changed.

Re: Coolant leak
Honestly, I look at the O Ring and it looks good. I will try to see if I can atleast replace that part. I think the tightening system for this just might have loosened up a little bit.
My oil pan is leaking a little bit, engine mount has asploded, and I think I do need new valve cover gaskets, atleast the rear one. Thats all on my summer list :) It will get done.
They make canned de greaser? Spray and clean?

Re: Coolant leak
they sure do. gunk engine foamy bright, crc de greaser, < has very little smell after hosed off. then there the Green cleaners.
dont clean it in your drive way, it will leave one hell of a mess when done under the car. do it in the street or over dirt.
being as thick as it looks, you'll need to do it a few times, then use a stiff paint brush to break what wont come free on it own loose.
i always get 2 cans, cause one can is never enough, but your looks like a 3 can job. stuff cheap here, about 5 a can, dont know what the mark up will be in the Alaska.
