Anyone use this HID kit? OPT7 AC 55W HID Kit Xenon 9007 HB5 Hi Lo 5000K White Beam Conversion Light | eBay

Is it just plug and play or will any modifications have to be made? Also what wattage should I look for? I see they go from around 25 to 55w or so.

I did google and search on here and any possible modifications seem to depend on what bulbs or what kit you use.

    Thanks.

    12V 50/55W 9007-3 Bi-Xenon HID Kit [VVME-HKB55-973] - $59.99

This be a good kit to get? I have the black housing spyder headlights if that matters, not halo's.

I've had cheap HID's... Yeah, you save $ and output is almost as good.
I recently put in a kit from theretrofitsource.com and wow! All I can say is you get what you pay for : )

Retro Fit it the way to go. The light output is outstanding.

If you cannot afford that, go with VVME. Do not waste your money on Bi-Xenon. I have them, and they make zero difference.

If you buy them, you'll just be wasting your money. All it does is just push the bulb out about an inch further when you turn your brights on.

Are you on stock headlight capsules or projectors?

    I take it stock.

If so 9007 is the way to go. Be careful with 55w in stock housings. Some people have melted their housing, while others haven't. I still believe you are wasting money on Bi-Xenon H.i.d.s

    My suggestion, choose from here.
Search Results : VVME.COM, Tattoo Kit, Xenon HID Kit, DVR Surveillance System & Projector

I have VVME 35w, and they are plenty bright. These are mine:

I have the black spyder headlights, not projectors. The last set I linked were not the Bi-xenon's. They were the Hi-Lo set, are they not any good either? I have never bought HID's before hence all the questions plus I don't want to order the wrong kit.

Ive never tried the 9007-2, so I couldn't tell you to be honest.

If the halogen bulb is for the Hi-beam, I am not sure how that would be brighter than the Low-beam H.i.d.

Ok I will probably go with the 5k 9007-1. What kit did you use for your fogs, The 880 kit? And same K? Did you need the relay harnesses?

You can try getting 55w if you want too.

Just be cautious, you may or may not melt the housings.

For the Fog lights (If you have stock fogs), you need 880, and yes I got the same Temp.

If you have the plastic fog light lens, be prepared to melt them with 35w. As that is what mine have done.

You can buy the 4 inch blue Pilot fog lights from Advance Auto Parts or Autozone with the glass lens. Those will not melt with 35w or 55w, the only thing you need to watch out for, is for rocks when driving that may crack the lens.

If you stick with stock fog light housings, get 35w 880. If you get the Pilot fogs, you need modify the bracket to get them to fit. There is a write-up on this forum on how to do so. It's simple.

Buy Blazer Fog Light Kit-Blue C3062KBL at Advance Auto Parts

These require H3 bulbs and not 880.

I'm going to go with the 35w kits. Did you have to use the relay harness with the headlights or fogs? Thanks for all the info.

Shew, good thing!!!!!! LOL I have 35w kits in my headlight and fog lights. Yes I'd suggest the relay harness for your fogs as well, I have the harness on mine because only time I use both sets is at night and I use the fogs for highs.. LOL Most of the time I run my fogs at dusk/dawn with my parking lights...

IF you get the Dual Bi's all that does is tilt the bulb IIRC which if you have standard housings they will not do much for you. If you have the halogen highs, you'll never use them, they are just there for the safety inspection in some states/countys so you can say yes I have high beams. If you don't have that where you live then just get the standard set and be done with it. I have 6000K in my heads, 8000K in my fogs.. When they are both on, can't tell much of a difference. When on at different times you can tell. I'd do pics, but camera doesn't do justice....

    I got mine from DDM

AND don't forget to unhook your DRL's.... ;-)
