Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
Why don't you just hook up the usb cable from phone to Computer and go in and manually copy?
Or can you not do that?
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
When I first got it, Dsmuts (Dan) told me to load GM Pids, then uninstall and then reinstall the app to get everything working, the method worked and has been since, also I checked the box "Faster Communication" under the OBD2 Adapter Settings.

That's what I've been trying. Been trying it at work anyways. Gotta try it at home just haven't taken the time, had a harddrive crash and been working on that lately. Stupid backup restoration process is taking forever.

Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
Well I dunno what the hell happened the first time round but its up and working now. Just selected the gm pid list from the predefined set. And it all came up. Thanks again man. :)
Since there are 7 different pages to setup, do you have a list of pids that you should have? There's a ton of them but I know some and probably most are unnecissary
Like one page for everyday readings, one page for racing, fuel economy etc etc
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
Just think of the Torque app this way, the more sh!t you monitor, the slower the app. That's why the pictures of what I monitor are the only things I monitor. The refresh rate is super fast and the app is enjoyable.

Awwww that's cute. but No. See, you think I have problems with the OS drive, or standard secondary media drive. What crashed was my brand new (6months old) Western Digital 3Tb drive that housed all my movie sets... was about 2Tbs full. I have a small addiction and a need to put BlockBuster to shame.
Fortunately when it crashed I still had the old drive I pulled to upgrade, that had about 1.3Tbs worth of Movies on it, about 1500 give or take, but lost most of all of the past 6 months since I upgraded. So after the RMA I had to start the dreaded change over from the 1.5Tb to the 3.0Tb and mix with what I got that a friend had (I put my movies on his external so he could watch them). Been a time consuming process.
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
I went into settings and turned the pages down to 1 and just use 1 page for the things I want to monitor. If I need to go specifics its not hard to swap out displays and if worse comes to worse you can always bump it back up to 3. But yea, less its doing the faster it is.
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
everything seems to be working great, Im just going thru about 6-10 pids to see what I really want up there.. How do I close 5-6 of the pages in real time, so I only have one page?
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
Just delete everything off those pages

Main screen, push menu button, Settings, General Preferences, scroll most of the way down to "Number of dashboard screens". Gives 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, etc...
Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
Is there any specific obd2 adapter that needs to be used? I see a lot of them in Ebay but none say they are compatible with 01 grand prix.. Thanks!

order one off amazon, just dont go to cheap. I got this one and it constantly has issues.Amazon.com: Soliport ELM 327 Bluetooth OBDII OBD2 Diagnostic Scanner: Automotive
Spend the like 25-35 on it and you should be ok.
As far as accuracy goes. I have scanned with both hp scanner and the torque app and honestly there really seems to be no difference at all. For 25-35 bucks you get a 3 grand scan tool you cant go wrong.

Just google it if you get a code, not needed to have it stored.

Re: bluetooth obd 2 adapter and torquepro ( obd 2 & car ) questions
So I'm just monitoring a few pics and am curious what they should read. Air intake temp and trans specifically. I'm also watching kr, timing advance ( I don't know why ) coolant temp and vacuum/boost. Is there anything I don't need to be watching or something I should be?
Right now its about 77* and my intake temps are about 115* cruising in town. I'm sure that would be much lower on the highway but I'm not near one :). Trans temp is around 195

Intake is preferably kept within 20* of ambient. trannie is 180 to 210
