got a 00 GTP and i took out my throttle body screen a couple days ago seems to run fine but if i leave it in park for a long time like waiting somewhere i notice every once in awhile the engine will rev a lil by itself is this bad i know that screen straightened air for the MAF but i noticed way better throttle response with it gone ....other than the rev and a little bit of shake she runs great. do i got anything to worry about? and as for the shake i had that before i did the screeen removal, what could that be? its when its hot i get motor shake is this normal? thanks any help would be good.

Put it back in. The little flow increase you received is not worth the risks of inaccurate MAF readings. This should be in the same category as the BBV mod and putting a resistor on the IAT sensor..

Exactly. I did this many moons ago before I found this forum and had to learn the hard way. Mine ran fine when first done, but the longer it was out, the worse my idle got.

Mine was starting to do the same, sounded like I had a mild cam in at idle. I put mine back in and its running like it should. Its better to have the screen in place esp. when it come time for you to start tuning your pcm.

I used to love sitting a light with it doing that and everyone looking at you like what the hell is under the hood. But, yeah, I'd rather have the smooth idle.
