The control unit with the dual sliders actually has two wires that control the left and right side or the passenger side and the driver side. And those two wires are the white/black wire and the light blue wire which you can see coming from the climate control unit its on the plug that's towards the middle. now I'm not exactly sure if your problem is related to the climate control module or if its the blend door actuator on the passenger side. You could test two wires I was talking about coming from the climate control unit and what you would be looking for is when you turn the sliders up or down there would be a varying voltage or difference in the voltage supply to each motor. For example I believe if I remember correctly that for the passenger side when you turn it down real low the voltage is at around 12 volts and when you turn the heat all the way up the volts go to about 2 volts and that's how the motor knows how it needs to turn. However the drivers side is the complete opposite. If you turn the heat all the way up the voltage for the driver side will reach around 12 volts and if you turn the AC on full blast you will get around 2 volts. So if you end up having to replace the climate control unit you can only get the one that's made for your car which has the 2 sliders because none of the other ones will be compatible even though they will fit in the console. The reason being is that with our cars have 2 blend door actuators. Cars that have different climate control units only have one blend door actuator which means that they only have one wire that comes from the circuit board on the climate control unit there for that one wire will only control the driver side and it will not be able to control the passenger side which is why you need the ones with the two sliders because I found that out the hard way that you can't swap them cause I've tried it before and I wouldn't want you to spend the extra money that I had to. If you're up to it you can swap the blend door actuators and see if its just the passenger side blend door actuator and see if it is broken. You could do that by swapping the driver side and the passenger side because they're interchangeable or you could simply just buy a brand new one for the passenger side (about $30 at rockauto.com) and see if that fixes your problem which would be the cheaper way to go because the climate controls head unit will run you around 60 to 80 dollars on eBay. Keep in mind that the driver side blend door actuator is a little more difficult to get to then the passenger side passenger side only requires you to take out the glove box.
