At random my headlights will turn off and I cant turn them on, my driving lights work and all other exterior lights work. I try the switch(as I have the automatic lights) and get nothing, it only happens after dark but if I turn the car off for 20-30 minutes they work again just fine.......any ideas as what I need to look for?

Usually, when an 06+ loses headlight, it's the DRL relay... they're like $17 on ebay. But that's not, to my knowledge, an intermittent issue. The lights should be permanently off.

So, I'm wondering if your DRL ambient light sensor (the bulb on the dash by the windshield) is faulty... whether there's a fuse issue, or whatever.

Are you saying your headlights work fine in daylight?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.

Correction. 04 and 05-08 have different wiring diagrams. 05-08 have an HDM

04 have no DRL and no HDM. The way it should be. For some reason the douche engineers at gm decided to implement the HDM setup in the 05+ and besides taking out HID ballasts they fail often.
