Ok. I had the engine and trans pulled out and overhauled a week or so ago. Car runs perfect....then I go to start it later and I get nothing. Thought it was the starter, so got a new one. It is making the slight whining sound like a possible alternator issue. All the other electrical works fine, even when car does not start.

When I try and turn it over, it is dead, only making that wonderful clicking sound. Battery tests out just fine. I also replaced the older brackets and cables when it did this last week.

Thanks. I am at whits end. Seriously. I spent 3 gs this month and am tapped out.

Sounds like a ground issue, I would go over the wires to and from the starter.

As for thew whine, I couldn't tell ya....... maybe its a pulley or just the fuel pump whining.

Would need a video of that.

    ICM ground attached?
Irridium spark plugs last 100k mi and work just as well as copper. Copper is a waste on N/A and only lasts 15k mi. Don't use Platinum.
Use 195* tstat unless you can thoroughly explain why not; 99.9% don't need a lower temp.
Almost any oil filter, ever, is of higher quality than ACDelco. Spend $6+.
