I bought a 99 GTP from the original owner about a month ago. It has 110000 on it. I noticed that starting last week, the emergency brake light comes on and stays on most of the time while driving. I have made sure the pedal is fully released. The brake still works fine when I need it. Anyone have this problem? Solution? Thanks in advance!

^ That. If the brake fluid gets low in the resevoir it will trigger the brake light.

Fluid looks a little low. A little below the mid-line of the reservoir. The max line looks to be at about 3/4 full. I am going to pick some up tomorrow and hopefully that'll fix it!

You probably need to check your brake pads while you are at it. Pads getting low will be the main cause for fluid being low, unless there is a leak of course.

If thats not it, then you'll have to look deeper into the issue.

Like wiring and or a sensor issue.

Mine would periodically go on and it was because the brake fluid was a little low. Fill her up and be done with it =)
