    2000 GP GT

Long story short 2 weeks ago I heard a loud pop and wasn't sure what it was. Last night I noticed that this aluminum piece was moving around way too much. Turns out that both sides going down to the engine were broken. I have no idea what the actual name for this is but would like to replace it ASAP. Thanks in advance.

do believe its called a upper strut mount bracket.

pretty sure people swap that al crap mount out with a l67 iron mount, its the coil bracket and mount all in one part.

You can go to salvage yards and pick one of these up.. They are on most L36/L26 motors.

I am sure if you post a Want To Buy thread, you'll have one cheap by the end of the day.. LOL

It happens because it's made of aluminum. I might have a spare l67 one.

Would that fit mine? If it will let me know if youre willing to part with it. Im going to post up a wanted ad in hopes of getting one for a decent price. Otherwise I will head to the junkyard in hopes of getting one for a reasonable price. only thing is that they seem to overcharge for stuff around me.

You can do this 4 different ways.

    Replace with the cast one
Get the GXP driver side and not need a passenger
    Use a new aluminum one
Have one made of other parts like Sven and Swiggles did.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
