Wouldnt a "tuned" pcm that has upgrade/longer shift tables already added, and "tranny line pressure increased" win over gm's performance shift?

Basically making performance shift obsolete? What am I missing here.

Most tuned PCMs will increase line pressure and shorten shift times beyond that of GM's performance shift. So you still have two different settings, just more pronounced from each other. And there are other things you can play around with as well with the performance shift like TCC lockup at different speeds or not at all in PS mode.
