Are you sure the hot wire kit is installed correctly, grounded well, that sorta thing? You should have to prime it, thats what it does when it runs for the first few second or to when you turn the key to just before start.

Do hear the fuel pump engage at all when you turn the car to run and not start it?

Id start with tracing out the power sources then, something not getting power or that pump is possibly bad. Anyway you can hook up a 12v source to the power side of the pump and see if it engages. That would prove out the pump being good and then you could work from there.

Well you'd probably have to pull the relay out of the socket and use a multimeter or volt meter and measure for voltage. Probably need to have the car in the run postion, better known as Key On, Engine Off.

    Check this link out: http://www.scacgp.com/mods/fuel_fix/relays.jpg

Put everything back together and try this. This is for testing the fuel pump resistor.

I owe you an apology. I keep forgetting there are models out there with that blasted fuel pump speed relay. I dont have one so I dont even think about it.
