Alright, I'm not a newbie. I've done alot of groundwork before posting here.
Symptoms: My ABS/Traction control lights are always on and the DIC says I have low fuel even though I just filled up. I also have an issue where sometimes heat doesn't come out the drivers side. My cig lighter doesn't work.

What I've done: Disconnected the battery overnight, I had the car scanned and there's no codes for ABS. I've checked and replaced any fuses that were bad. I've also checked the ground points I could find on the car. The ones near the starter I will need to check when I get the car on the hoist next week. I hear there's one under the passenger side door but didn't find it (wonder if it's missing or corroded away).

If anyone has an idea of what I need to look for or where to look to fix these electircal issues or what ground wires I need to replace please let me know! Thanks in advance!

Have u checked the wiring and connectors for the wheel hubs them selves...I had mine come loose on my old 04 which threw an abs code.
For the heater problem it could be a bad accuater (I can't spell at all) but their located in the dash and switch the air between cold and hot

    What year is your car?

And yes, sounds like the drivers side actuator is shot. It's up on the air box behind the dash/console area on the drivers side. Have to lay on the floor and look up and you should see it sticking off the side of the airbox. A couple screws and an electrical connection and it's off. The shaft has a flat spot on it to index the replacement so be sure it lines up when you put it back on.

The cig lighter may just be bad. Time to break out the multimeter and probe the connections on the backside where it connects and see if there is power there.

    Thanks for the replies!
@marines542 I forgot to mention I have already changed the ABS connectors. The wheel bearings were changed 5 months ago.

@FordMan77 The fuse was blown for the cig lighter. When I connected my tire pump to it it was working. The minute I turned the pump on to pump air the cig lighter socket died. This time the fuse didn't blow. As for the actuator I am going to replace it. However, would this also affect the DIC where it tells me how many miles I have left on the gas in the tank? I have a 2000 GTP.

No the actuatot doesn't affect the fuel levels. Its probably the level sensor that is in the gas tank its self that's bad...does ur fuel level gauge on the dash show? Did u have the abs issue before u changed the hubs out?
Also did I understand that correctly...ur cigarette outlet works fine now? Or it did until u blew a fuse then u replaced and ur doesn't

Yup you understood right. My cig lighter isn't working now. Keeps blowing fuses. The gas guage works fine it's just the DIC that doesn't show the amount f distance I can travel. It just says low. I'm thinking all these issues are related.

I forgot to add that my front valve cover was leaking pretty bad. I'm guessing that isn't god for the sensors and wires.

At least it's easy to replace. I tightened them for now. A can of WD40 does wonders!
