    This is center back side of the engine. The wire it's splitting out from is also connected to the 02 sensor plug . The car is a 2000 grand prix 3.8 not supercharged.

    its nothing. it would have been for a ca car if it went to ca. then been part of a air pump or some BS ca makes the cars have.

    if you look a bit harder you may find another open plug by the battery.

    Think it's just a mystery plug. There's several on the wiring harness that just dangle and don't attach to anything. I think that one is to an air pump for Cali emissions stuff.

    ERRR he beat me.. LOL Yeah there's one by the battery, under it, somewhere between it and the fuse block area.. Forgot what it's for.. also there's one up behind your front grilles around your front bumper support for the amb air temp sensor used for mirrors that have the temp in them and something else..
