Hey guys just a quick question on how to check the transmission fluid? (kinda dumb i know). But i was wondering if you just go out to the car when its cold and check it just like oil, or if it has to be warmed up to operating temp. I know some cars the car has to be on and some it has to be off. My car did not come with an owners manual otherwise i wouldve checked there.

    Thanks for the help

Car has to running to check fluid level, you'd want it at or around operation temp.

It helps to get it warm then while stopped, run through all the gears, P R N D 3 2 1, hold each there for 1 second, then go back through each to get back to park and check it. That way you can try and get a true reading after all the fluid has made its way through every part of the trans.
