Ok quick question I hope you all can help me with. I have a N* throttle body I am using but I am wondering about the MAF. What I have heard or read about regarding MAF's

    1) Have to use LQ4 or similar MAF with adapter harness and tables due to outflowing the stocker
    2) Why the stocker can't be used is due to a bottle neck in the intake system
    3) Larger intake tube (MAF housing) can be used with the stock MAF sensor because larger tube affects flow readings.

I don't mind purchasing what I need, I just want to make sure I get what I need. My local O'Reilly's has this:

Speed by Spectre 9405 - Mass Air Flow Sensor Adapter | O'Reilly Auto Parts

Can I use this and stick my stock MAF in it or do I need to get the larger diameter LQ4? What I've heard/read both will work due to the piping size on the piece from O'Reilly's, but I want to make sure!!

Not trying to skimp, just practical...

You could use your stocker in a bigger tube however of course you would have to have it retuned for the Max to be able to read properly

The moment you change the size of the tube the maf sits in, then you have to retune for that maf on that car. The LQ4 has been used enough that most grab that table and start there. In the case of that tube, I would calculate a rough percentage increase, load that and start tuning from there.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.
