Has anyone replaced original 5/8 core radiator with 1inch thick GTP radiator? If so, any problems or are they direct fit?

I replaced mine with one from a 98 Monty . It's 1 1/8 thick if I remember . I had to get the Monty lower radiated hose but everything just bolts right in and sensors are swapped fin.

The only down side is that the drain is in a different location and it is a little messier to drain the coolant out
MY LUGNUTS REQUIRE MORE TOURQE THAN YOUR HONDA PUTS OUT!!!

I installed the HD 98 Monte Rad in my 00 GPGT as well. 1 3/8" thick core. Here's the write-up I did on it incl. pics.

You do know the Monte is the same platform as the GP's, right? All W-bodies. But go with what you need to. I just always figure if it's broken then might as well upgrade when I can if the price is good.

Thanks FordMan, yes knew about W-bodies. Just trying to keep it simple, if I can swap thicker radiator for thin one with no mods, it makes it a no brainer.

I hear ya. Since not everyone knows cars are a W-body I figured I'd throw it out there.
