I am going to be replacing the hoses on my 07 GXP here soon. I was looking at it over the weekend to see what would be involved. Typically, I convert all of the hose clamps to regular old school clamps when I do this. I have always been able to get by taking the old clamps off with regular pliers, but it looks like that might not be the case on the GXP. I have contemplated buying the special hose clamp pliers before just to have in my toolbox as I work on many GM vehicles. I am just trying to determing which ones are the best design to buy.

    I was leaning towards these.

But I wasn't sure if this design worked well and would fit on the clamps the GXP has given the tight amount of space.

There are a few other designs as well.

Amazon.com: Hose Clamp Pliers Adjustable 90 Degree: Home Improvement

Has anyone had any experience with any of these particular design and have a preference? At this point I am mostly interested in how they will work on the GXP, but am interested in overall feedback as well.

Personally, I prefer the craftsman ones. They are lifetime and sears is easier to run to for a replacement than any of the links you suggested.

Also..the first link is different than the rest. The first should be what you need. The others are for a single wire type of clamp. I think were mainly used on ford or something.

Wish I had one of those tools when I did the hoses on my car. I have seen ones with a 2' flexible cable extenstion for getting into the tighter hard to reach areas like the lower radiator hose water pump connection.

I converted my '04 to old school clamps. It leaks. They need re-tightened every few months. I can't find anything wrong with the clamps honestly. Next flush, I'm putting the old spring clamps back on and not fussing with it again.
