i have a 97 gtp and im having problems with it starting. i have to turn the key to acessorie and off atleast 3 times before it starts up..if i jus crank it like normal it takes about 10seconds to start. i need ideas on what it could be ive changed the fuel filter, ran injector cleaner through it, ive done pretty much everything i can think of and ran out of ideas. i havent changed the fuel pump yet but ive changed the fuel pump resistor. im thinking it may be the pump jus seeing if you guys had any suggestions..thanks

Check for correct fuel pressure, fuel pressure regulator. My car was acting the same way a few weeks ago but she's all good now after I got a new battery..so I suggest u go check battery, alternator, maybe even starter. Also check spark

mine does the same. Depending on the weather n how long it sits, it cranks anywhere from 1-6 seconds. I changed injectors and the fuel pressure regulator. Next attempt is going to be a fuel pump since thats what a mechanic told me a looooong time ago when i first had starting problems 2 years ago.

battery and alternator are fine. i have to do 3 cycles on and off(off than to accesorie) than on 4th crank it will start like a normal car. but if i jus get in it and go to start it takes about 10seconds to start. seems like its not getting enough fuel. im goin here soon to check the fuel pressure

Hook up a pressure gauge to the rail and see what it does.

I'd say its a FPR before a pump.
