If you want to believe his post, I'd suggest going and pulling that information together yourself to confirm it. The guy lacks a lot of credibilbilty on most sites based on falsfied information like time slips etc. There is a reasonable amount of information available from places that have SC dyno's. Most would agree that actual results are a better measure than desktop calculting. Heck a few years back I read something similar when a guy was trying to prove out that the Gen 3 M62 was comparable to the Gen 3 M90. He used much of the same graphs etc.

Many times things can look or seem as one would like if you put the right spin on it. Flake went to school for marketing or communication, surely he learned how to put the message he wanted out there. However, why would you try to prove that a Gen V is no better than a Gen 3? Makes little sense other than his typical "screw with people and provide misinformation", which he said to me in person was his goal. (Couple years back) Up to you if you want to believe a guy who is banned off most forums, has been proven wrong by 3800 vendors, aims to cause drama on 3800 and non 3800 forums and has been proven to lie often. All he's ever done is made the 3800 community look bad on other forums and proved that a newer $1800 TVS blower could be more efficient than a $300 Gen V.

I'd be searching on my own for the proof of his claims and dyno results from actual charger only swaps.

I won't disagree with the rest of your post. However, your first paragraph is not correct. Well, maybe it is, but, if people are seeing huge gains while they are still running big pullies, the tests are flawed (less than one uncontrolled agent). The gains are incredibly minute with larger pulley sizes. The 2.x pulley sizes is where the Gen V really starts to show gains.

That said, it's well known the GenV upgrade is not that much really and the cost/gain crossover makes it a mod that you'd most likely do as you're running out of mods that squeeze the very last smidgin of HP out of the engine or the smallest pulley size possible. I'd rather just put an Intercooler in than swap the S/C as the cost/gain is much higher. Just my opinion. :)

6th gen is the TVS.

My first paragraph, or sentance isn't wrong. It states that guys saw enough of a gain to do the mod. Likely someone said, "I'm going to try it, looks like a bolt on." Others probably said, the same type of thing that was said to Slo Flake, doubting it's gains. At the end of the day, the found a gain they were willing to pay for. That's exactly what I said.

Slo Juice is willing to take anything out of context or search years back to give me crap. That's fine. He's still pouting into his Hello Kitty Drama pillow because after he told me he had swapped transmissions in his car (in 2 hours flat BTW...lol) he proceeded to dump 7+ quarts of trans fluid on the floor and tell me he's never dropped a pan before. Yes, I joked around and laughed at him. He and his "buddy" stopped over and asked for room in the garage during a major build to change balljoints. They said they could do it w/o help. I ended up drilling them out and doing the job, literally somehow they couldn't. I was pissy with him about his intrusion when I was busy. He says I don't charge fair rates for work, funny part of that is....he's the reason I charge. Promises of helping a buddy out and never doing so... he can pout into his drama pillow all day. Know what I'm saying? :th_laugh-lol3:

PS, I still question where he got his data. Because most of the stuff Eaton has on their site as Gen V, isn't our Gen V. If you notice, he avoids direct questions most of the time. Skips right over, causes a little drama to mask the lack of answers.

From what I was told, he made money selling the TVS setup compared to what he paid for it and now is turbo making crazy power. To each their own I guess. Me, I'm throwing heads and an IC on my current setup and hope to make 330whp on 93 with the help of a smaller pulley of course.

Chris..heads are amazing for our engines. Once you have a bunch of other mods, it's the one spot that holds us back from processing more air through the motor.
