I installed a remote starter on my 99GTP and I want to leave the auto setting on for when I start the car via remote. However, the a/c always comes on. Being that its winter, I only want the heater. Is there a way for to use the auto feature without the a/c kicking on?

In my gxp the AC auto turns on all the time and I actually think its better. It helps defrost windows quicker. And I leave my temp set to 75 when its cold and auto start and it'll warm up and defrost windows

I'll just leave it in mode with the AC off and set at the temp I want and the fan speed I want. I figured setting it to 90 and auto with it being 45 degrees outside it would know not to turn the AC on. Auto isn't auto if that's the case. AC being on with heat coming out is a waste of gas and counter productive.

You could put it on auto and unplug the ac clutch.
