Hi there, I moved your thread to an area where it should get better exposure. The forum suggestion area isn't a high traffic section for engine issues. Should get more visibility here.

On P0171, if you google the code or do a search here (search is dead center at the top of the screen and al little tough to see) on that code and my screen name. You can find a ton of information. The issue is almost never the sensor.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

mine did that before i changed the lim gaskets you most likely have a vacuum leak somewhere. i would replace all the vacuum lines and check the egr tube at the intake and the exhaust manifold. also use your scanner to check you iac and ltft

What is the egr and ica and the ltft? Where is the lim gaskets? Where are all the vaccum lines? I'll have a hard time doing all this cause its freezing here in wisconsin.

I hear ya when you say its freezing in Wisconsin. lol. I don't really know where all those are located myself but if you have the car idling and spray MAF cleaner or ether around the engine bay and the car revs up you know you have a vac leak. Also where in Wisconsin are you located?

I use a little propane to check for leaks. Could be more dangerous in some ways, but I hate spraying flammable liquids around the engine.

Agreed. Wisconsin has been bitter cold lately.
