Tonight on the way into town on the interstate, my check tire pressure light came on. I just pulled a nice chunk of metal out of my tire 2 nights ago so I thought oh great it actually started losing air now. I got to my destination and got out to check the tire pressure and it was a solid 33, so I thought, Oh good I picked up something else in another tire... checked all of em, all good. When I checked the rear right though, I noticed the wheel was warm. I flicked a handful of snow at the rotor and it all sizzled and boiled off immediately, super hot. Tested it on the other rotors and with the others it just melted fast and evaporated slowly.

It's pretty slippery out with a nice layer of snow on the ground, I figured that my caliper was sticking and the road was slippery enough for the wheel to slow down or lock up here and there, which made that one wheel rotate at a different speed to the others and set off the tpms since it goes off wheel speed.

But, I also thought about a bad wheel bearing causing the same set of symptoms, or the e brake sticking since I used that a few times in the past days. I havnt noticed any issues stopping, or pulsations.. nor any noticable drag when driving.

After I drove home though, and I was travelling faster this time because the roads had been plowed so I figured "Oh great it's gunna be cherry this time." but when I got home it seemed like it was normal temp, I did the snow test again and it didnt sizzle, it just melted and evaporated.

So, sound like a caliper? Is it normal for it to unstick itself, or is this just a temporary reprieve?
