Its un-needed, its not a mod, but I miss it...

Wheres the whine?? I know by just adding a intake to get rid of the box that might make it a little louder.. But if a car is s/c'ed.. I wanna hear it

I have a fwi on my Bonne, with a 3.4 mps,and it sounds descent but was wondering if you can get that without dropping in a MPS

sounds about right. you need to be nailing it to really hear it, @ wot, or just as the rpm's get close, mines it's loudest all stock of course. w/ open cone.

thanks bud! , Yea I just wanna keep this as clean and original as possible.. Only thing going in it is a Shift kit from Intense, which should be here tomorrow.. Other than that the rest will be visual and audio..

I haven't looked close yet, but on the 04+ can you just throw a cone on the end of the MAF? It looks like it could work considering its already angled to the headlight, so it might actually be a pretty clean look too

Certain intakes make the sound much louder. Overall though..it's the speed the charger moves that helps the whine.
I drink..so consider that when reading my posts.

Thanks guys! They made it easy for me on this one $150-$250 for an intake is nuts.. Hey dmahlik, what length filter did you put on there? And do you nee a piece of exhaust pipe or anything to mate the MAF and the filter?

And what size is the MAF inlet? Probably gonna go see if I cant find a Descent filter somewhere

most air filters come with a a ring to make it 3 inch or remove the ring and its now 4 inch.

Since your question has been answered, I will change the topic real quick. You might wanna take that 3.4 off the bonnie before the motor blows up from no exhaust mods.

I have no pipe on mine...yet. I got the smaller spectre filter I think 6in. Just attach filter onto the end and use ring clamp to tighten and thats bout it.

Cam...do you realize the Bonne got 2.5" exhaust the whole way from the factory and no u bend restriction? Bonnies take mods a bit better than W bodies.

Yes sir. Plus no cat and running 93 it barely ever knocks. 93 pump I get 3-4* if its hot and I'm on it. I add 2-3 gallons of 110 and it's gone

2006. But I heard some ppl had issues with that year. Needing to switch to a 05 PCM, and even then there was some things that had to change

You have to leave the rear o2 in the pipe, for the cat diagnostic....honestly though..I've always had cats and never had issues with restriction

Thanks man. And just double checking the air filter needs to have a 3" inlet to fit on the MAF correct?

I have never bought the spectre filters. Are they descent? Or just spend the extra $10-15 for a k&n?

    K&N's are lame.

Just get the Spectre and bolt it on.

    Save some money.

Bolt it to the TB for maximum noise if that is what you're going for.

That's it. I've had "fast" cars. This to me will never be fast and it's not worth going through the tranny to me. I just sold a 500 Whp car to buy this and have some cash in the bank for bills.

K&N is lame? Lol that's a new one to me. Especially from a comparison to spectre. Isn't spectre the company that had the center plastic piece come off and go into ppls intake??
