Ok so today I got in my favorite car lol. And started her up. Immediately noticed that I had a full tank of gas. This was weird because, I'm a cheap a$$, I'm broke, oh and most importantly I had a quarter of a tank yesterday lol. Ok so after scratching my head for a few minutes the gauge started slowly dropping down to its normal level. It finally rested on a quarter of a tank. Today sporadically it would go up and down while in park but it never went under what I had in the tank. What's going on with my gas!? Lol

Also what's the average full tank on these cars. My range said 283. Is that normal?

There's fuel level thingy in the tank that gets messed up sometimes.
I bet you could find it with some searching

Welcome to the club. My gauge went completely dead back in April. As in reading empty all the time, then it started reading full all the time. Now it is accurate until about half a tank and the closer I get to empty, the closer to full it reads.

Search "Bonneville fuel level sendor replacemnet" on youtube if you ever want to do it yourself.
