03 GTP, 132k mi.
I've had vibration under throttle, and knock/clunk common when engaging transmission/begin to move/change momentum. I thought it was due to suspension, then tires. Suspension is new/good, and just put on new/good tires. Vibration and noise still there.
When installing tires I noticed how loose ft rt quarter panel was (worse than I previously thought), looked at it a bit and I suspect PO hit something--wiper fliud spout is broken where it bolts to chasis at top, already replaced broken wiper pump motor (cracked housing), wheel well liner is broken where it attaches to chasis at bottom front, headlight is loose b/c housing is broke at 1 of the screw wholes, and an audible knock when pressing on quater panel above wheel sounds like metal hitting metal somewhere behind battery--I think a bolt is missing from in there some where??
I heard about fender braces, that attach to/near bottom of radiator, but just not sure what I'm looking for--nothing is obviously (beyond whats listed above) to my untrained eye.
Seems like I would be looking for a more substantial bolt/brace than what attaches to wheel well liner and/or headlight. I am going to hit a u-pull-it and get a fender liner, but I really appreciate any tips, descriptions, pics, of any other bolts/attachments for quarter panel.
