so ive had the car parked for the last 2 plus months because the clutch master cylinder went out. finally got the new one in and bam battery was dead. ok charged the battery til it said charged went to start it and "CLICK/POP" thats the noise i hear. ok so i figure the battery is shot. i go to autozone today to buy a new battery, change the old one out get everything all hooked up and "CLICK/POP!" same noise.

it does it as soon as i turn the key to the start position.
only does it once and then its silence and everything goes dark.
also after i did it there was a kocking noise coming from somewhere in the engine, cant figure out where or what it is... sounds like its coming from the air filter area, even tho i know its not because a air filter doesnt knock...

also at the same pace of this knock all the dummy lights on the dash would flash.

any ideas? this car is becoming a nightmare...

also could this be a fuse or something? sometimes when i turn the key to the run position all the interior lights (lights, radio, guages) will go off and the whole car goes dead. other time it wont happen til i turn it to the start position. its inconsistant. i had the negative cable off over night to hope the pcm would reset and that was the problem but it made no difference

Clean the battery terminals really good and make sure they are tight. If that doesn't work put a multimeter on the battery and see how many volts are in it as it's sitting and then when the key is turned forward.
