So, Its been a while since I have visited the wonderful GrandPrixForums.net.

Im back with a new project. Like my Blue 99 I picked up for 400$. http://www.grandprixforums.net/savin...per-55495.html

So. I picked up a 2003 Monte Carlo with 175,000 Miles. Minor deer damage And the car would not run. And had been overheated.

I gave 250$ for it as it sat, So I drug it to the shop and began checking it out.

Tried cranking it and it sounded fine, Sounded like it had good compression. I replaced the 3 Front plugs and she fired up.
I listened to it for a minute and the bottom end sounded fine. So I drove her home and begun teardown.

Well, I apologize for the Scattered mess here But ill let the pictures speak for themselves. Both head gaskets were gone, And the LIM was about to.

Yup yup, Anything you can think of i need to do else? I checked both the heads and the block for any warpage. Combined was less than .0015 Besides new top end gaskets, Tstat, Plugs and wires. Anything else?

Well, Got her running yesterday evening. Had the exhaust rocker bolt for cylinder 2 pull threads out. Wonderful. Helicoil kit is a life saver sometimes.

Changed the oil and ran her a little, No bubbles in the radiator. Good coolant flow. No misfires. Seems like a champion.
