I bet you a dollar I know exactly where its leaking from......... Its from that Onstar antenna or whatever on the front of the roof by the sunroof. Its an easy fix, all you do is unbolt it and apply sealer on both sides of the rubber gasket and bolt it back down and wipe off the excess sealer. I used an RTV sealer for a water pump on my GFs Brothers 04 CompG. Its been that way for 9 months without any issues at all, and the car sits outside too.

    Good luck...

I have a little bit of dampness coming from the area around the plastic part. Where the dome lights and sunroof switch is. The sunroof looks and seems like it seals up tightly when closed. I felt around the sunroof while it was still raining out and no issue. I definitely noticed the dampness while it was raining though. You can tell that its slightly leaked in that area before I bought the car..some staining where dampness has been present. I looked up in the area where the sunroof motor was and there isn't any wetness. Would this On Star thing be the same issue? My carpets aren't wet or anything, so I bet it is.

Does this sound like the same issue? How do you unbolt the antenna? I'm nervous the car is in pristine condition and I don't want to mess it up.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I sealed it up today with some clear RVT sealer stuff. I couldn't get the stupid bolt undone so I just sealed it from the outside...it doesn't look to bad and is hardly noticeable with the clear silicone. Hopefully that fixed it. I stopped off at the local GM dealer and was just going to try ordering a new gasket...well it turns out that its the whole base of the On Star and it would be $100 ....lame. My On Star doesn't have the updated digital thing and I don't want to pay for it, it'd be like $15 to upgrade and then another $200 for a years worth of service and another $100 for activation. GHETTO. Always trying to nickel and dime people. That's my update...
