Thinking about doing this for a while now. It's time for plugs anyway. Should I be concerned about the fuel pump/filter? I believe it's in the tank on 2005 GTP. Don't think the filter's serviceable.

I can't recall on the '05, but if it's returnless you don't have to worry about the filter since it's all in tank I believe. So you're correct on the serviceable portion. What I would do is run the tank probably down to an 1/8th or so...buy some fuel system cleaner (if you're really worried about it...and if it has never been done then it probably wouldn't hurt), dump it in, and fill it up with the highest octane gas you can find around. Go take some corners back and forth hard to slosh the gas around and let it work.

You could always try the half a cup of diesel fuel too...that'll clean 'er out

Talkin to the old man reminded about this. Grandfather used to use it in the farm engines. Spent an evening reading here and other places.

Seems safe enough, so what the hell. Time also seems right to burn anything off with the old plugs.

I mean personally; I'd only do it on Carb'd engines.

    Seafoam is a nice bet

I did it on all 5 of our vehicles in the last month. No issues. They seem to have more snap to them as well but that's hard to verify. 2 GP's 2 suburban's and a murano.

Markpa. You did the Seafoam, or the diesel on all 5 vehicles?

Dex 3 tranny fluid. If you ever doubt the cleaning power of tranny fluid, when your hands are all greasy and grimy rub them up good with some tranny fluid before you wash them.

That's one of its main properties, it's full of detergents to help keep the channels, etc. In the trans clean.
