Until today, the car has been fine no lights no issues.

SO today I take it to get oil change. Get it done, Great.. I go to drive away and it seems like theres a lot rev but not a whole lot of go and it sounds like my cars running louder than usual.. No exhaust issue, i believe its the fact theres a lot of revving going on.. Don't get me wrong, the car was moving, just felt like i had no power.

SO I get on the road, feels the same so I give it throttle and it goes fine.. ABout 5 mins of driving it, my Traction control light comes on. ANd I can't shut it off manually. NO ABS LIGHT, just the traction control. SO I drive it to the end of my road, turn my car off and restart, the lights off.. I put it in drive, and a few econds later, it comes back on. SO As i'm rolling down the road, pop it in neutral, shut off, restart, light off.. leave it in neautral, no light.. Pop it into drive, light comes on.

At this point i'm frustatrated and just pull into my drive way, when i pull in, light goes out and didn't come back on as I went to my parking spot.. SHut it off and havn't touched it since.

SOrry for the sappy story but has anyone ever encoutered this issue before? I'm going to go out in 30 mins and take for another drive to see what its doing.

could be a bad hub, or bad wires to the hub, or dirty or loose plug at the hub.

Took my car for that drive.. It works like there was never a problem. If there is a bad wire at the hub, wouldn't turn my ABS light on. WHen my sensor became unplugged last year, it turned my abs and my traction light on and I could not turn it off.

ALso a bad wire at a hub would not cause the symptoms my car was experiencing.

    Lets hope it fixed itself.

that revving and not going fast could have been the tc kicking in and cutting your engine timing. pretty sure the same sensor in the hub detects if the wheel is spinning. aka wheel speed sensor.

im all for the auto self repair myself. lets hope it never pops on again. wish full but not impossible.

Bringing this back up in the hopes i get some help.

WHen i first posted this up, the problem seemed to have fixed itself. The TC light went off and it was working fine. All of a sudden today, it started doign it again, and I want to find a solid culprit as I bet i'm not the only one who has had this issue.

Heres what I know, my ABS works fine. ABS kicks in if I try to slam the brakes. That tells me my abs is working fine correct? Bad wheel sensor = no abs.

My ABS light is NOT on. It only shows the TC OFF light.

If I put it in neutral when at a red light, the TC light will turn off as in my TC is turning back on. If i put it in drive and don't roll forward, the light will come back on. Its as if when my car is in drive moving or not, the traction control will turn off.

When light is on, my car is powerless. Lots of rev, no go.

Thats all I can explain. Have no clue. ANy info appreciated.

get it scanned. see what they come up with.

i have a similar problem, every once in a blue moon when i first start my car and drive off, it seems to fail the abs check, and the abs trac off light come on, when they come on, i cant tell if its the trans or the brakes holding the car back, its like dragging a anchor behind the car. and the steering gets real stiff/ super firm, like the magna steer cuts out.

shutting the car off, and re starting will fix it most of the time. i have no clue why mine does this, but its so rarely happens im letting it go for now.

Thats exactly the same symptoms my car is going through. Jus the same as yours. Feels like i'm trying to pull a train and going no where.

Everyone keeps saying to scan it. I don't have an extra $100 to take it to some place just so they can plug it into a machine and tell me what might be the problem. Thats the going rate to plug in a scanner around here.

If the ABS and Trac Off light are on, should there be symptoms?

My car has both off (knocked sensor off putting on slotted rotors).

    It seemed fine.

ive heard of the same thing we both are dealing with before by a few others.

i did have a hub go bad, when the hub was bad, it would fail the abs self test over and over, changed the hub, its now back to once in a blue moon of acting up.

and ive changed the abs module too when i did the master cylinder, and it still acts up from time to time.
